Ford is making a move to become the leader in fuel efficient cars, announcing that it will be producing four vehicles for 2011 that will get 40 miles per gallon. Ford will be the only automaker producing four vehicles with an MPG rating of 40 miles or more.

USA Today and PickupTrucks.com recently performed a horsepower and hauling test, having several top of the line V6 pickup trucks pull cargo and shoot down the drag strip.

The result - to see who is the toughest. The winner was, not surprisingly, the 2011 Ford F-150. This new-for-2011 base V6 is more powerful and fuel-efficient than rivals. Its six-speed automatic adds to the new engine's strong points.
